This year for Christmas, Avy is asking for a My Little Pony House. A strong one to be precise as the one she got last year fell apart (terrible choice by Santa there!). So, while My Little Pony will be top of the list I'm thinking about what else I can get her that will inspire her a little.
If you have a little girl in your life, like I luckily do, you might have noticed how much pink and princesses they are surrounded with. A quick walk down the girls aisle in the toy shop clearly tells the story – be pretty & play with dolls. The boys get adventures, building things and superheroes. Why can’t girls have that too? From a very small age, our girls are taught to aspire to become a princess and wait to be saved by a dashing prince. I want my girl, Aoibheann, to want much more than that – I want to inspire her. I want her to be ambitious. So, that's why I created, ‘I don’t want to a be a Princess’, which is all about showing our little girls that there are lots of other cool things they can do.
I’d love to know what you think?
